1. Get the app & create your account
Download the app
To get started, download the NanoKard App on an Apple or Android device. You can download the app from the App Store or visit nanokard.com/download-app for both Apple and Android download access.
Use your phone number to create your account
Once you've downloaded the app, add your phone number to start creating your account. Follow the instructions on the app to complete the account creation.
2. Add a payment method & load your NanoKard
Add a payment method
Add a credit card, debit card, or bank account when you create your account, or you can add a new payment method later through your Profile. This payment method will be securely stored in your NanoKard account.
When you add a debit or credit card, a screen will prompt you to verify it before it's added as a payment method to your NanoKard account. To verify your card, NanoKard will place a temporary charge on it, which will be removed after the verification process is complete. This security measure ensures that the card you've entered is valid and that you are the authentic cardholder, helping to protect you against fraud and identity theft.
How to confirm:
- Check your card statement for a temporary charge from NanoKard.
- Enter the exact amount of the charge displayed on your bank statement to confirm.
Load your NanoKard balance
From your NanoKard dashboard, press Load NanoKard to add funds to your balance using your added payment method. You’ll need sufficient funds in your NanoKard balance to successfully pay a business with the app.
3. Make an in-store payment & view your transactions
Scan and pay to complete an in-store transaction
To complete a payment in-store you’ll…
1. Go to your dashboard, press the scan button in the bottom right corner, and scan the QR code presented by the store employee.
2. Enter the amount you’ll be paying and add an optional tip.
3. Review the details and confirm sending your payment.
View your transactions
Once you’ve loaded your NanoKard and made payments, you’ll be able to view all of your transactions of the day and past transactions.
How to navigate your NanoKard profile
Your Profile is where you can access all of your account information and settings. To access your NanoKard profile, click the circle in the upper left corner.
