View the Accounts page
The Accounts page lists all accounts or locations that you have access to. If you have only one merchant location, you will go directly to that location's account page.
Select the merchant location account
If you have access to several locations, your Accounts page will have tiles representing each location. Select View Detail on the location you wish to view.
Main account page view
When you access a location's account, it will look like the screenshot below.
Understanding account containers
From the location's account page, you will see two or three containers visible. The wallet is listed as Main Account, which is where you can see your available funds. Hold In Arrear will show your funds that are being temporarily held. You might see an additional Reserve container if your account has a reserve configured, which is another method of temporarily holding your funds. Each location only has one wallet, Hold in Arrear and Reserve are components of the wallet.
View summary of funds
From the wallet (Main Account), you can view a summary of the Total Funds in the Account, the amount Held in Arrear, and the amount Available to Withdraw (this is the total funds in the account minus the amount Held in Arrear).
Understanding hold in arrear
Hold in Arrear are funds that are held for a specified number of days dictated by your NanoKard agreement to cover returns, chargeback fees, or any other transactions that result in account deductions. Hold in Arrears is a rolling amount, as funds exceed the specified days to be held, the funds automatically rollover to available funds that can be withdrawn via ACH, or transferred to another wallet or location that you have access to. The Hold in Arrear container summary shows Today's Funds to be Released, and the Next Release date and amount.
Understanding reserve
You may or may not have a Reserve requirement. If you are required to have a Reserve, this amount is agreed upon in your NanoKard agreement, and the balance must stay at the agreed-upon amount. NanoKard will automatically move available funds to Reserve if the sum falls below the specified amount. NanoKard will also move Reserve funds to available funds if the Reserve sum should exceed the agreed-upon amount. The Reserve container shows summary information including Total in Reserve, Today's Funds Release, and Next Release date, and amount.
View transactions
You can select View Transactions on the Main Account and Reserve containers. View Transactions on the Main Account shows all of the location's sales transactions, ACH withdrawals, and account transfer activities.
Main account transactions
When viewing Main Account transactions, there are three tabs of transactions available to view: Successful, Declines, and Pending.
Reserve transactions
View Transactions on the Reserve container shows all past and scheduled Reserve transaction activity.
Search for transactions
You can search for a particular transaction by clicking the search button on any of the three tabs.
Search options include a dropdown selection menu for Transaction Type, a calendar picker for Date, and time picker for Start and End Time.
Free form text search fields:
- Transaction/NanoKard ID
- Transaction Amount
- Last 4 digits or first six digits of the card number.
Once you have entered your criteria, select the Search button to return results. If your search yields too many results, or not enough, you can add or remove criteria and search again until you achieve your desired results.
View transaction details
To view additional details of a transaction, click anywhere on the row of the transaction you wish to see.
Transaction types
There are several different transaction types in NanoKard, and they share many of the same self-explanatory fields. However, there are some fields unique to NanoKard in the Gateway Information area that are explained below:
- Blockchain ID: NanoKard transactions are registered to a Blockchain ledger. The Blockchain ID is the identifier ID of a terminal or e-commerce transaction on the Blockchain. While ACH transactions are also registered to the Blockchain, their Blockchain ID is listed as Transaction ID in the Transaction Details section of NanoKard.
- Clerk ID: This field is found on retail terminal transactions if provided in the system by the Merchant. It is the ID of the clerk who processed the transaction using the Mobile Point-of-Sale (mPOS) app. This ID is useful for tracking employee sales and tip distribution.
- NanoKard ID: This ID is generated from the NanoKard platform and is used as an additional identifier to search for transactions within the NanoKard Platform.
- Reference ID: Is generated from the terminal in retail transactions
- Transaction IP: This is the IP address the transaction is generated from and is typically found on e-commerce and ACH transactions.
In your accounts, you can also withdraw and transfer funds. To learn more, read our guide on Withdrawing and transferring funds.
