Accessing your Business Settings
Select Business Settings from the left sidebar navigation. From there, you can choose:
- Employee List
- Permission List
- API Keys
- API DOcumentation
- Management Company
- Fee Structure
- Webhook
- mPOS Terminals
- mPOS Clerks
Employee List
You can add employees to your merchant account to give them user access. When you add an employee, you must enter their email address. The employee will receive an email invite to your merchant account to that address and will use it to log in.
Note: The user will have access to your merchant account based on the permission role you assign them. We recommend creating a custom permission role first.
To add an employee:

Select Employee List from the left sidebar navigation.

Click the Add New Employee button on the top-right.

Enter Employee Details: The employee will receive an invite via the email address you enter. Create a temporary password that the user will be prompted to change upon registration.

Assign them a Permission role and choose which merchant locations they will have access to.
Once you add an employee, they will receive an email invite via the email address that you entered in the field.
Permission List
User permissions are crucial for maintaining a secure NanoKard merchant account through defined roles and access. You can set up various user permissions to meet the needs of your team and business processes. When you share account access to your merchant account with another user, you'll need to assign them a permission role.
To create a permission role:

Select Permission List from the left sidebar navigation.

Click the Create User Permissions button above the permission list.

Enter a Name for the user permission role.
- Build the User Permission Role:
You can choose Select All to grant full system access to this role, or you can select specific permissions. For more information on specific permission categories and what they do, see below:
Permissions Categories:
Account Permissions:
- View Accounts: Provides visibility into all digital wallets and accounts.
- Refund: Allows the ability to initiate customer refunds.
- Account Transfer: Allows the ability to move funds between locations associated with your merchant account.
Withdrawal:

ACH:
- View: Allows for view-only privileges in any of the above categories. The User can view transaction history, scheduled transactions, and current transaction statuses.
- Cancel: This function allows a user to cancel any pending ACH transactions that have not been settled.
- Create New: With this permission, a user can initiate a withdrawal from any of the wallets associated with your account.
- Auto ACH: Allows the user to set up recurring ACH transactions
Disputes:

Chargeback:
- View: Whether a user can view all chargeback cases
- Fight: Allows a user to fight chargebacks, enabling them to upload supporting documentation to chargeback cases.
- Accept: Allows users to Accept chargebacks, enabling them to approve any chargebacks that may appear in your list.
- Retrieval: The user can view retrieval cases.
Funding Schedule: Allow users to access the funding schedule for Hold in Arrear and Reserve (if applicable) funds.
Exports: Allow users to view, create, and export reports for the associated areas.
Business Settings:
- Employee List: Allow users to view, edit, or create new employees.
- Permission List: Allow users to view, edit, or create new permission roles.
- API Keys: Allow users to access the API Keys page to connect and configure POS terminals and other integrations.
- Fee Structure: View the merchant's agreed-upon fee structure with NanoKard
- Management Company: Allow users to access the Management Company page, which can grant other entities access to your merchant account. Note: An external agreement with NanoKard is required to use this feature. Contact your account administrator if interested.
- Webhook: Allow users to access the Webhook page for other integrations.
API Keys
API Keys are used to set connect and configure POS terminals, eCommerce payments, and other customizable integrations. These keys ensure that your transactions are encrypted and secure, protecting your business AND your customers.
Each merchant account will have a Public Key and Secret Key, along with a unique key for each merchant location under your account. For more information on your API keys and integrations, visit the API Documentation section below.
Note: Make sure to keep your Secret Key safe to ensure data security and PCI compliance.
API Documentation
The API Documentation page is where you can access documentation about API integrations. All available API documents will be visible on this page to download and view.
Management Company
This feature allows a company or entity that owns multiple locations to have visibility to any of their location wallets if granted permission. It allows other entities full access to your NanoKard merchant account if granted permission. To use this feature, please contact your Nanokard Account Administrator to learn more.
To add a management company:

Click the Add Management Company button at the top-right of the page
- Enter the Management Company Access Key given to you by your NanoKard Account Administrator, and select the locations or accounts to provide the management company access.
- Agree to the statement regarding granting account access, and click the Submit button to confirm granting account access.
Fee Structure
This page allows you to view your contractually agreed processing fees associated with your NanoKard account. Use the Select Account dropdown to change which account location fees you are viewing. Your monthly fees and withdrawal dates are also displayed.
Webhook
The Webhook page allows you to define a custom URL to send webhooks to via your integrations. Each account location can have its own webhook path.
