NanoKard merchant application instructions
Follow these instructions to ensure a smooth onboarding process for your merchants with NanoKard.
Merchants must fill out an online Jotform application initiated by the ISO/Agent. The application ensures NanoKard understands the merchant's business practices.
Application requirements
ISO/Agents should complete the application except for the merchant's signature. Required fields are marked with red asterisks:
- Corporate/Legal Name
- Business Name or DBA
- ISO Company Name
- Agent's Name, Phone Number, and Email
- Merchant's Email
- Rates and Fees (Debit & Credit)
Application documentation requirements
Required documents may vary but generally include:
- Government Issued ID for owners with 25%+ ownership
- Articles of Formation/Incorporation/Organization
- IRS EIN/SS4 Document
- Valid Business License
- Signed Merchant W-9
- Voided Check or Bank Letter
- Inventory Proof (e.g., fulfillment agreement, manufacturing agreement, invoices)
- Recent 3 months of processing or bank statements (if applicable)

Applications must be fully completed, signed, and supported by required documents before submission to NanoKard's underwriting team. The team will review this within three business days.
Once the application is signed, it is sent to the underwriting team for due diligence. Both the ISO/Agent and merchant will receive status updates via email. Any discrepancies or missing documents may delay approval.
Merchant rates
Please make sure the merchant rate is higher than your buy rate to avoid loss margins. Rate changes can be requested via email to support@nanokard.com and must be signed by both the ISO/Agent and the merchant.

About Know Your Customer
To prevent fraud and comply with regulations, it's important for agents to accurately verify merchant data, including credit card transaction volumes, business details, and owner information. For NanoKard compliance during merchant onboarding, agents must comprehend the concept of Know Your Customer.
Visit our guide on Know Your Customer (KYC) to learn more about the KYC process for verifying the identity of merchants and ensuring security. By following these measures, agents can guarantee a smooth and secure onboarding process, ultimately maintaining the integrity of the payment processing system.
